              The Skagit Valley Lightning is a semi pro adult tackle football team for players 18 years and older.  We are residents of Skagit Valley and practice at Mount Vernon High School on Saturdays.   We are one of 12 members of the Evergreen Football League, with  teams spread all across the Northwest, as far north as Bellingham, east to Spokane, and South onto the Oregon border, proudly entering into its 4th season of spring football.  Teams play an 8-10 game schedule, with contests being played on Saturdays. We open the season March 29, hosting the Tri City Knights (#1 defense in the EFL-2007), at Oak Harbor High School at 1 pm.

              We currently need players at all positions quarterback, running back, offensive line, defensive line, linebacker, wide receiver, and defensive back.  We also were looking for assistance coaches, team reporter, game announcers, event security, spirit squad, practice and game videographers. If you have relevant experience or an interest in please contact us. Staff positions are on a volunteer/ internship basis.
